For the past several months, I have been busy making a website with my friend, I'm the UI and QA person while my friend did all the programming and as the idea person. There are only 2 people on the team. But we finally launched the website last week!
It's Tablefy [link]
The idea of the website is about making a data comparison about anything, but as you can see the site is still a crawling baby, we only have several users which consist of our friends and family. Definitely not enough to make it grow strong and become a real man. Lol anyway, I was never really into designing an interface for a website before, but I have to admit that I had fun designing this website, and being part of the entire process.

NOW! I will hold a contest, not necessarily an art contest per se, but it could be about one.

CONTEST

WHAT
The contest would be about making comparisons or data sheet in [link]. The topic is open and free for everyone (doesn't have to be a DA user)
You could make a comparison about anything you can think of, be creative, compare something that matters to you, or simply just making a record of something that you like.

EXAMPLES
for example data about your favorite character, your favorite game, your cars. Or it could also be instructional, like these that I made:

RULES
The content of your comparison could be made entirely by you, Or you could also use other resources, but please include the link or credit of your sources. The idea here is to create and to present the best/unique/useful comparison to everyone.

SOME BENEFIT FOR YOU
You could publish any comparison you made or the one that you find on the site into your blog.
Like, I embed my tutorial into my personal blog [link] .

HOW DO I MAKE A COMPARISON?
First you need to create an account in Tablefy.
We tried to make the system to be as user friendly as possible, but you could go to our help page to learn more about our features, there are also some video tutorials! Go here [link]

HOW TO SUBMIT
Each contestant could submit as many entries as possible, and when you're done publishing your entry at tablefy, please send me email at ethe@tablefy.com or note me on DA with the link to the comparison you made. I would keep update of the entry list every week on this journal.

IMPORTANT DATE
The contest will be held from June 14th - August 30th 2008 *edit*.

PRIZES
Here are the list of prices for each winners:
Grand Prize winner : 4 high quality prints ( 8”x11” ) or 1 custom commission from me
3 Runner Up winners : 2 high quality prints ( 8”x11” )
5 Second Runner Up winners : 1 high quality prints ( 8”x11” )
8 participation awards : 2 postcards prints and random micro prints and buttons

All the prints are based on your request from my gallery except for the random micro prints and buttons because it would be the surprise items. Yes, I would ship the prizes to anywhere in the world.
